1 – Is it expensive to rent a houseboat?

Renting a houseboat is all inclusive, with eh exception of the fuel that the customers must pay at the end of the cruise (according to consumption, it tends to be between 15 and 30€/day), which can be included in the total booking cost by purchasing the all inclusive package. Given the fact that you will mainly eat on board the boat and most of the principle activities (sailing, walking, cycling along the towpath, fishing, swimming and visiting the villages situated along the route) do not cost anything and the boat is rented per boat, not per person, a holiday on a houseboat is actually rather affordable.  

2 – What are the deadlines for booking? How far in advance should I book?

3 – Is it necessary to take out insurance?

Your houseboat is fully insured and you are only responsible to pay for any damage caused up to the amount of the bond that you have taken out. You can also opt to purchase the franchise package by subscribing to the insurance package cruise deal. 

 4 – Does the all inclusive package include cancellation insurance?

The all inclusive package deal includes: fuel, insurance in case the cruise is interrupted, rental of two bicycles, the cleaning fee and a map of the river. However it does not include cancellation insurance which represents 4% of the rental price.   

5 – What are the means of payment and is it possible to spread the payments out?

We accept all payment methods, including the ‘cheques vacances’ or the holiday cheques, on the other hand it is not possible to stagger the payment, except in exceptional cases.
