La Truchère At the confluence of the Seille and the Saone, with the junction of the footpaths of the Bresse and valley of the Saone, Truchère offers to you the charm and the calm one of its greenery and its water plans. You will discover his natural reserve and its many varied landscapes. Its nautical halt will accomodate you and will allow you to leave your boat a few hours to discover the beauty of the village. To see : You will be able to admire in the village a very old Calvaire which carries the statuette of Saint Nicolas and Saint Jean Baptiste and to enter into the church to contemplate a painted of Roch saint, owner of the parish. To taste : Burgundian traditional kitchen, wines of Burgundy. To know : Truchère has a bridge of 9 arches, one of the last needle weirs, and a lock always in function in spite of its great age (built in 1794). Very favourite : The Natural reserve of Truchère Ratenelle where you will discover a mosaic of natural environments very different from/to each other: peat bog, pond, dunes sand… Navigation on the Saone : The Saone furrows the slopes of the famous vineyards of the coast chalonnaise, Mâconnais and the Beaujolais wine, walking on idly through the strengthened cities. True paradise for the fishermen, his weak slope and its regular flow makes a calm and easy water way of it. Navigation on the Seille : It is an affluent of the Saone which takes to its source in Baume les Messieurs (Jura) and which is thrown in the Saone with Truchère (Saone et Loire). Long of a hundred km, it is a quiet river with trout. A few km before its opening, it form a network of Ponds, dunes and peat bogs which shelter a great number of species threatened and rare of migratory birds. From La Truchère : |
