Eeklo It is a small town located at the North-West of the Flanders, in Meetejesland on the diversion canal of the Lys and which preserved typical neogothic architecture of second half of the XIXème century. To see : Arboretum, belfry, museum of the old trades. To taste : The cramique (brioche), spéculoos, waterzooï (speciality containing chicken). To know : A legend tells that one could come in Eeklo in order to be made remake “the head”, if or your character you did not like your physical aspect. Very favourite : The natural reserve of Het leen with its 200 ha of wood and ponds. Navigation : You will cross many rivers, rivers and small picturesque channels.
